About Shochugeiko
Shochugeiko, or “summer training,” is a traditional period of focused practice during the heat of summer.
It is a time to strengthen spirit, polish fundamentals, and deepen our commitment to sincere training.
This Zenshinkai Aikido Association summer intensive will include taijutsu, weapons practice, ukemi,
posture, connection, body movement, and selected material from the Zenshinkai curriculum.
Training is open to active members of the Zenshinkai Aikido Association. Pre-registration is required.

Member registration is $160.

Friday, August 28
- 5:30pm–6:00pm — Check-in
- 6:00pm–9:00 pm —Aikido Training
Saturday, August 29
- 10:00am–1:00pm—Aikido Training
- 1:00pm–3:00pm — Lunch break
- 3:00pm–6:00 pm —Aikido Training
- 6:30 pm — Group dinner at Dojo
Sunday, August 30
- 9:00am–12:00pm — Aikido Training
Schedule is subject to minor adjustment based on attendance, training needs, and instructor discretion.
What to Bring
- Clean gi and belt
- Bokken and jo
- Water bottle
- Notebook or training journal
- Any personal training supports you may need
Please arrive early enough to be dressed, settled, and ready before each training session begins.
Training Spirit
Shochugeiko is not simply a seminar. It is a shared period of disciplined practice.
Members are encouraged to approach the weekend with sincerity, humility, stamina, and mutual care.
The purpose is to train deeply, support one another, refine our fundamentals, and strengthen the bonds of the Zenshinkai Aikido Association.
Cancellation Policy
Unfortunately, cancellations are not accepted, and refunds will not be provided. Event credit may be issued at the discretion of the event administrator.
